Although this is another large house, it’s completely different from the previous one as the family wanted all the rooms to be built at the same level. The challenge was in incorporating all four bedrooms as well as the social spaces on one floor. The plan is designed to provide a two-car garage, from which a door connects to the interiors. For guests, the porch leads into an entrance passageway that directs them to the lounge or the large open plan living-dining-kitchen area. Opposite the lounge is a small powder room for guests. The master bedroom, interestingly, is located off the entrance to keep it secluded from the other bedrooms as well as the social spaces. The large room has a walk-in wardrobe as well as a spacious en suite bathroom with separate his & hers basins and a spa bath. Sharing the wall with the master bath is a study.
In the social space, the L-shaped open plan layout has the kitchen in the centre with the living room and the dining table on either side. The kitchen has a galley-style layout with an island counter that doubles up as a bar counter for the living area. Beyond the living room and adjoining the dining area is a games room. The dining room has sliding glass doors that lead out to a patio that can be used for al fresco dining.
Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 are located parallel to the social space. They share a separate toilet and bath. Beyond the toilet is a small laundry room with a sink and connections for a washing machine.
